This instrument uniquely features a slight curvature as well as a bayonet shape that allows it to access some more difficult to reach areas.

This includes many orthopedic procedures in which initial incisions into bone or hard tissue need to be enlarged or when certain segments of bone need to be cut or slightly modified. This rongeur is particularly well suited for use with smaller bones as it features a 4.0 mm bite and has a slight curvature which allows it to mirror the curvature of certain body areas.

This instrument is double-action and is slightly curved which allows the jaws to remain in alignment with the bony area it is being used upon while keeping the handle effectively out of the plane of surgery. Also the jaws are slightly scoop shaped which gives this instrument a unique way in which it can cut and reshape bone. It is available in six different jaws widths ranging from 3.0 – 8.0 mm in 1 mm increments making it well suited for any particular procedures or maneuver.
